Dr Sammy Woodford is a heritage and design specialist, interested in the creation of high quality places by understanding the ways in which people perceive and connect with their world.

He has completed doctoral research on young people’s perceptions of central public libraries, and holds master’s degrees in architecture and building services engineering, and in historic building conservation. He is a full member of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation, and has written for or spoken at events run by the RTPI, IHBC, RIBA and CIOB.

His other interests include fiction and nonfiction writing, and designing and working on cars.
