Manager, Landscape, Master Development & Design

Lee Heykoop Both practitioner and researcher with a PhD in landscape design, recently moving towards strategic landscape matters, in all these aspects, landscape as core to our living is vital to my work. First a garden designer (learned at the Kew School of Garden Design), and then with a plant nursery before becoming a landscape architect, my close interest in public planting has led towards an initiative to set up a Landscape Community of Practice which will connect disjointed professions and processes, raise professional profiles, and practically apply shared learning to make high impact, high performing and sustainable living landscapes. A landscape architect and project manager, I have worked for over twenty years in public and private practice majoring on residential landscapes, parks and green infrastructure. Now, in this era of climate crisis and biodiversity crisis, my focus for development programmes, processes and culture is on enabling multifunctional landscapes to make the most impact for their footprint for healthy lives, nature, climate and resources. Building with Nature accredited assessor PhD University of Sheffield, Landscape Department: Temporality in Designed Landscapes: the theory and its practice in works of some major landscape designers 1945-2005 Prince2 Foundation & Practitioner certified in project management methodology Pg/Dip, UCE Birmingham, Post Graduate Diploma in Landscape Architecture Certificate of Garden Design, Kew School of Garden Design (John Brookes)
